So they’re still trying to fight that espresso tax up in Seattle. Basically, a 10-cent tax on every espresso & espresso-based beverages. Man, that would suck if they did that in other places. First off, I have my cost of my iced latte price memorized ($3.73!), and that would really screw me up if it went up. Why don’t we tax tabacco products more? Isn’t it already up to $10.00 a pack or something?
And if you’re sick of spam & junk mail: Check out mailblocks.com. They’re not free, but they’re pretty close. (It’s less than a $1 a month, you cheapskate.) But the nice thing about it is it uses a ‘challenge & response’ to get junk mail out of your box. (If you’ve used ticketmaster.com, it’s the same thing.) I’ve been using it to sort out my hotmail.com mail account, and it’s great. I can’t recommend it more.
Cooling off in Phoenix? It’s been below 100 the last couple of days! Wow! Of course, it’s supposed to get warmer today and back up past 100 tomorrow, but it was a nice switch.
