1995 Saturn: Most Stolen Car.. Are they on crack?

Posted by Thomas on 25 May 2004 | Tagged as: General Ramblings

Yes, the 1995 Saturn SL was the most stolen car. What’s up with that?

It’s not like it’s the greatest looking car, but I think a lot of it is for parts. Of course, nobody ever ripped off my 1983 Chevy Citation, so that sucks. Especially the ’sideways’ tape player in the dash. Now that was a pain.

Hitting…brick…wall….

Posted by Thomas on 24 May 2004 | Tagged as: General Ramblings

Yep, it’s starting to hit. Even after a few Pepsi’s, and a Starbucks Doubleshot, I’m feeling the pain. Maybe it’s time to buy the caffinated soap? ;)
That’s okay. If I go to sleep just a smiggin’ earlier tonight, I should be good to go tomorrow.. Especially since I have to work tomorrow night.

Different kind of clock…

This clock is slightly different…

I really need to play DDR more..

Posted by Thomas on 24 May 2004 | Tagged as: General Ramblings

Looks like kids are losing weight playing DDR.. I really need to play it more, but man, I’m so white that I feel dorky playing it alone, so you know that’s bad.

Somone has a case of the Monday’s….

Yes, it’s that time of the week again. Time to drag myself out of bed. I didn’t get to sleep until about 1am, so it’s especially brutal this morning, having to wake up at 4:45am. I’ll usually pay for it by Friday, however.

Just a ‘do nothing’ weekend kind of weekend, at least. We did get the chance to clean the house a little bit, which is always good…. and change a burnt out lightbulb on the front door. (I hate heights.)

Rented the movie Radio last night, and it wasn’t that good. Just kind of plodded along, and then it just ended. Didn’t feel for the characters at all.

Shrek 2 - Ehhh

Posted by Thomas on 20 May 2004 | Tagged as: General Ramblings

Well, we just got back from seeing Shrek 2, and it wasn’t too bad. I think it was on par with the first one. But as far as beating some of the Disney/PIXAR flicks, ehh, I don’t think so. It’s just that it seems the Shrek movies are #1 about making fun of contemporary stuff in the movie, and the story is slightly secondary. While at least the Disney/PIXAR ones also have a heartwarming story.

But the animation was excellent, and it did have quite a few laughs. It was also cool to see an extended preview of The Incredibles, which looks like it’s going to be a funny flick.

Peace out.

Gotta love computers..

So I needed a new keyboard, so I expensed one of those Logitech keyboards and mice today. It’s actually quite nice, and feels really good.

Then the problems begin: first off, the mouse wouldn’t be detected correctly through my KVM switch: it just sees it as a generic Logitech mouse. So that really defeats the purpose of having a mouse like that.

So now I have to use 2 different mice. One for each machine. It gets a little ocnfusing sometimes, figuring out which one is which, but I’ll guess I’ll have to get used to it.

But it is nice having a lot of the extra keys, even though it’s going to take awhile to get used to that, too.

Wing Tags on Penguins hinder breeding..

Posted by Thomas on 19 May 2004 | Tagged as: General Ramblings

Here’s an interesting article that talks about the tags that scientists put on the wings of penguins cause issues with breeding. Boy, that sucks.

I get to spend company money today.. That’s always fun. Have to go buy a combo printer/fax/scanner/copier for the office. Probably going to go with the ‘ole standard, HP. Always fun stuff.

Peace out.

Ch ch ch Changes..

Yeah, I decided to make a few changes to the look of the blog. Still tweaking it, but it looks better, me thinks.

I’ve finally jumped on the RSS bandwagon, and all I can say is, “why didn’t I do it sooner?”. For those of you not in the know, it’s a great way to be able to monitor your favorite websites, without having to constantly visit them throughout the day. You just need an RSS reader, and you’re on your way.

Me, I tried a few, and purchased FeedDemon from Bradbury Software. It works really well, and can generate a ‘newspaper’ of your favorite websites, so you can read it all in one place. Ain’t technology cool? ;)
You can even link to my RSS feed here, and get the latest updates without having to constantly reload my page. I figured you’d like that.

Archives working again..

Didn’t notice, but the archives weren’t working.. Whoopsie.. It’s now fixed. (As if you care!)
