Time, time, ticking away…

I have this program on my work laptop that shows me how long the laptop has been booted (90 days for the last 6 months), but more interestingly it says that I’ve had my laptop booted for 16 hours today, which means I’ve been working for that long. And it also says it’s only been ‘idle’ (in screensaver mode) for only 1 hour of that. I think that offically means I need another vacation.

Geez, what happened with the temperature here in toasty AZ? It’s just been downright cold. And since the wife and I are both cheapskates, we haven’t turned on the heater yet. It’s not that bad at night and during the day, but man, it’s tough to wake up in the morning. An electric blanket is looking like a nice Christmas gift this year.

Speaking of Christmas: we bought the Mr. Coffee family 2004 Christmas tree this weekend. It’s really amazing; when we were first married in 2000, we didn’t have hardly any ornaments, so the tree consisted mostly of tinsel, candy canes, bulbs, and a lot of dead space. Not to mention the fact that it was a fake tree I had since 1995, and she hated.

This year we were really amazed how many ornaments we have, not to mention the fact that 2000 was the last year for a fake tree.

I get to go to sunny and warm Minneapolis next week for some meetings, so that’s always a joy.

Christmas.. And it’s cold..

Yes, it’s truly cold.

I picked up a Treo 650 for work, and I must say, it’s amazingly sweet. I had a Samsung I-500 before, and that was cool, but the Treo has it beat in many areas. Having the bluetooth built in is just another plus. Just need to get a SD Card to load some MP3’s onto this bad boy.

Geez, can it get any colder? We haven’t turned on the heater in the house yet, which means at night it gets a little chilly, but not too bad. During the day you just load up on coffee or hot chocolate, depending on your beverage of choice.

Still doing the Christmas shopping. The wife says she has most of her’s completed, but I’ve barely made a dent. Need to kick that into high gear, me thinks.

Peace out.
