Star Wars Episode III? Yeah, not too bad. Special effects? Great.

Story? Not too bad (Other than the love story. Eeek.)

Plot Holes? A few, as long as you don’t remember the first three movies.

There were some issues, though. We had issues with the tickets a week or so prior, and so we weren’t sure if we were getting digital-projection, or just the regular ‘print’. Well, we got the regular print.

But I have to give props to Harkins Arrowhead, and specifically, Sandi Schroeder & David Fraley of management. They absolutely made things right, and for that, I’m probably going to avoid ‘that-other-chain-in-Phoenix’, as Harkins is the bomb.

Cary, whose birthday was up, liked it quite a bit:

And Jerry, just looked plain kooky.

Again, a good time was had by all, even though precious, precious sleep was given up.
Now, I would be remiss to mention that two of our best friends have decided to hook up in that big thing called marriage. Congrats.

Them on the Matterhorn. Fun times, fun times.

.. Star Wars: Episode III.

Now, I’m not a huge Star Wars fan. It’s a good movie. But then I have certain friends that are like, really into it. And that’s cool. And it just happens to be that persons birthday, too. So in the great “Lion King-Circle Of Life” thing, it works out pretty well. And I’m sure a good time will be had be all, as usual.

This also marks what is supposed to be our first 100-degree today. So that really sucks. It’s a ying & the yang thing.

you probably don’t know that we’ve been blessed with some pretty nice weather. As in, we haven’t had a 100 degree day yet, which is pretty rare.

Not that I’m complaining; I really like this kind of weather. But I heard the weather-dude yesterday mention that our Summer, once it finally ‘kick’s’ in, is going to be hotter than usual. So what, exactly, does that mean? Like 130 degrees? I sure hope not.

Today is the hottest day of the year so far, supposedly. Supposed to get up to like 93 or some such.

Busy, busy April..

First, of course, taxes. Well, I guess that’s not really that big a deal.

Next up, a trip to Disneyland. Was it fun? Uhh. Yeah. Lots and lots o’ Big Thunder Mountain, with a side heaping of Indiana Jones. The park wasn’t too crowded, so we got a lot done, and a lot of just hanging out and people watching, which is really friggin cool to do sometimes.

Next up, a weekend trip to Minneapolis for work. Not too bad. Got to visit the infamous Mall of America. And went into exactly one store: The Apple Store to pickup an Ipod case my store didn’t have. The amusement park was pretty cool, though.

Then, my good friend Jerry Sanchez got married. It was like a mini-Independence High School reunion. Got to see some people I haven’t seen since 1992, so that was fun. And of course, Jerry and Jen looked great. We partied until the wee hours o’ the morn, which for a 30+ year old group, was 1:30am.

Now it’s May, and other than a trip to Charlotte, NC, I’m not doing much traveling. Just pulling a lot of weeds…
