Yeah. Again.. Can you believe it?
Last weekend was a trip to very hot San Bernardino. I take that back. It was hot all over Southern California.
Mostly there for work. Had to build a new firewall to replace an existing one at a Mortgage call center. Not bad, but I worked from 8am Saturday till about 11pm, chowing down a slice o’ pizza and that’s it. Not great, but hey, it’s the job. And it went well, so I can’t complain.
That left Sunday. Now, I should mention I flew the wife out, too. She hung around the hotel on Saturday while I worked (nice gig if you can get it). Our flight didn’t leave until about 9pm on Sunday.
Yeah. We went to Disneyland.
Now, this was no ordinary Disneyland trip.
First, one ride, Space Mountain, has been closed for the last 2 years, while they completely rebuild the track, and add new effects. It was worth it. The old ride was pretty good, but with the new special effects they’ve added, it makes it even that much more fun. That, of course, means everyone else wants to ride it, so the lines were long. And not to mention it was muggy.
The other reason this was no ordinary Disneyland trip is because it was my birthday. That was cool. Hard to believe a year ago we were sitting on a beach in the bahamas drinking Corona beer. Time flies.

Eeesh. Wow. You know it’s bad when you see a friend, and he reminds you that you haven’t updated your website in awhile. You then know it’s time to get off your butt, and actually write something.
What’s happened since the last time? Ehhhh.. A trip here or there. Mostly for trips, it was a week in Vegas for Cisco Networkers. I’ve uploaded some pictures from the fun, fun event here. Enjoy them. (They’re from my camera phone, though, so the quality is ‘ehhh’.)
Also got an early birthday present:

Thanks, Colleen!. I’ve been looking for one for awhile, and got one! Yeah buddy!
So next week it’s off to beautiful San Bernardino, CA for work. The wife gets to come with me, so that’s really cool.
Yes, and you guessed it. We’re going to get in a quick trip to Disneyland.
But this time, it’s special. Why, you non-loving Disney person may ask? Because after being closed for over 2 years, Space Mountain is finally reopened! It’s about friggin time is all I have to say. Yeah, we’re pumped. Yeah, we’re going to ride it repeatedly. Yeah, a good time will be had by all.
Until next time, (should be less than a month!) peace out.
