Well, our rain certainly didn’t last. It’s been dry as a bone the last week or so, and of course, mega-hot. So you just stay indoors and drink more iced latte’s. It usually works.

This weekend, we’re actually going to put our foot in the water with the rest of the crowds braving Disneyland. We’re going with my in-laws, so it should be fun. Anytime we get to ride Space Mountain again is a good time. Looks for the whole adventure in pictures sometime soon.

We picked up Nintendogs for the Gameboy DS the other day. I thought it would help with the wife’s desire for a dog.. I think it made it worse. It’s a pretty cool game, though. Even though my beagle, Snoopy, is slightly wacked in the head.

A new study (Read about it here in Wired) says it contains quite a lot of antioxidants, which, we all know from paying much attention in class and stuff, are good for you.

So take that you non-coffee drinkers. (Yeah, I’m talking to you Jon “first-give-up-coffee, then-ditch-us-for-Japan” Miller.)

August. Yeah, still hot. We had quite a bit of rain in the last few weeks, but that just turned our weather into a west-coast version of Orlando: muggy.

Now, if you know me, you probably can guess I’m no Bob Villa. I installed some ceiling fans, and hey, they’re still hanging and still working. But we’ve been having some issues with our garage door. Like when you open it, it sounds like metal grinding together. Now, I was thinking it was probably just needed some WD40, but it never seemed to help. So we called a garage door company to come out. What’d they find?

Yeah, the whole garage door was hung wrong.

So he had to basically move the tracks and the spring that the door moves on to get it to line up correctly. Now it’s great. And what did he say about the garage door I installed with my father-in-law?

It was one of the best do-it-yourself installations he’s seen in awhile.

Yeah, thank you.

So today, my new Might Mouse arrived today, and so far, I’m really happy about it. It feels much better than the super-huge Microsoft mouse I’ve been using for awhile. Other than it being a corded mouse instead of wireless, I can’t complain.
