Saturday’s are nice…

because you know it’s a slow day.
What a week. Spent a lot of my ‘off hours’ playing Kingdom Hearts II, a new game for the PS2.
Okay, it would come as no surprise that this game contains Disney characters. Basically, you play as Sora, and soon into the game, Donald Duck and Goofy join your party. Now, they’re actually pretty good fighters. Yeah. Donald Duck killing monsters. Gotta love it.
So you journey into different areas from Disney movies and cartoons. Like I’ve already finished Beauty and the Beast (No, you don’t get to destroy the teacup and clock.), Mulan, and I’m in Hercules right now fighting Hades. But there are also levels for TRON, Nightmare Before Christmas, and one where you enter the first cartoon with sound, “Steamboat Willie”, complete with the game being in black and white, and an ‘old film’ look. Pretty cool.
I also went in this week to get some new glasses and contact lenses. During the test, the optometrist said it looks like I ‘may’ have Glaucoma. For those of you that don’t know what it is, it’s basically too much pressure on your optic nerve, and if it goes untreated, blindness is the result.
Glaucoma is very hereditary. My Mom, Grandma, and Grandfather have glaucoma, so it’s very possible. Luckily, though, if it is that, we caught it very early, so no biggie. Just means I’ll probably have to put drops in my eyes every day, since there is no cure for it. I made an appointment with an Opthamologist next week, as they’re the only ones that can say for sure if that’s what it is or not. We’ll see.
