You have new Picture Mail!

Saw a Diamondbacks game in Houston. We won that night.

More Trip for me…

As if we didn’t do enough traveling throughout this great country, we’re not getting ready to head out to the big one. No, not Idaho. Texas. (And forget about making the “two things that come from Texas” joke. It’s so played.)

We’re going to spend some quality time with my wife’s friend from college and their family. And, of course, take in a game where the Arizona Diamondbacks pummel the Houston Astros. Hopefully.

Other than that, it’s just trying to stay cool. Last night we had a major storm pass right over us. Watching out the window in bed, we saw lightning hit less than a mile away. Very weird.

My birthday was Monday. Yeah. I feel old and such. Luckily, though, I was able to take the day off and enjoy some time with the wife. Also got to go see Superman Returns. Not a great flick, but it was pretty enjoyable. It was interesting seeing how they kinda tied in the Christopher Reeve movies.

Pictures, I have pictures!

I finally got around to adding a a new Gallery of our Keystone, CO pictures.

This trip was right after coming back from Cary’s wedding… Good times, good times.

The highlights?

Keystone, CO - Nice place. A little pricy at, well, surprise, surprise, Starbucks. But the views were incredible. A big “wag of the finger” that they didn’t have Internet in the rooms. Oh well.

Bar-D Dinner Sow - This was pretty cool. It was in Durango, CO, where my wife was born. Neat show, and great views.

Enterprise - (This one is for you, Jerry.) We usually get the optional insurance when we rent, and once again, it came in handy. Someone hit our Kia Sorento while parked for the night. Turns out it was a neighbor, and he actually called the police and reported it. It was damaged so bad we couldn’t open the back hatch to book our bags in. The Dodge 4×4 Pickup that hit it just had a little ‘ding’ in it’s bumper. Nice.

There is always something cool with dropping off a messed up rental car.

Check out the pictures here..

Okay, I’m really done now.. really..

Well, I think I finally have everything done. Yeah, I also said that yesterday. But yeah, things change.

So like, what’s going to happen? Well, first off, it’s going to let me offer some services that I haven’t before. Mainly, I’ll be able to host people’s web sites for them. A little bling bling my way, mostly.

GRRR..

… so I attempted to move my website hosting to Aplus.net. They seemed pretty good, and the price seemed right.

Unfortunately, they couldn’t live up to doing some simple things, so they suck. Like, big time.

They tried to tell me problems with their webserver were issues with DNS. Nice try, wasn’t true.

I’ve found another hosting service that is going to work much better, I can tell already.

Probably have some outages soon, but not as bad as before. Stay tuned.

Stuff.

I’m probably going to be moving my website to a different company, so you may notice this website disappear/reappear for awhile..

Stay tuned..

More fun with Cars….

Yeah.. I’m not good with cars. As in, they suck for me.

We got back from our trip, and it seemed like the battery in the Ford Explorer was dead. Then, of course, we didn’t have the right sockets to get the battery off. Turns out it needed metric. (Go figure.)

Then, it turns out that the battery acid had eaten through the cable. Whoops.

Oh, and of course, it’s not just a regular, $10 battery cable. It splits off 3 times, and needs to be a dealer replacement part, as Checker or Pep Boys doesn’t even have the part.

From the dealer? $176.00. This is just for a positive battery cable. Crazy.

Luckily, my Uncle has connections, and we got it for $110. Still crazy.

Other than that, same-o, same-o. Attempting to stay cool when we’re having very high temperatures here in Arizona……

The joys of being back…

It’s really good to be back.. Traveling has absolutely been the best, but there is nothing like home: Your shower, your bed, and your house.

Of course, there are the little things. Like the dead car battery in our Explorer that refuses to be jumpstarted. And the washing machine that we had to order parts for, that will finally be fixed tomorrow. But I digress.

While on vacation, I did pick up a new Apple MacBook Pro. And I have to say: it’s nice.

I haven’t installed Windows XP yet in dual-boot, but I’m planning on doing that soon.
