So as I write this right now, I’m in the lobby of the dentist’s office, while the wife is getting some work done.

Her?  Oh.  She discovered a hole in one of her back teeth.

(Yeah, we hate the dentist’s office.  Who doesn’t?)  Luckily, they game her some ‘happy pills’ to take an hour before her appointment, and she’s feeling the love.  Or lack of love.  From the dentist.

What else is up?  Well, a lot o’ stuff.

The wife, of course, being a teacher, has the week of October 8th off.  Her birthday is October 6th.

So what do to?

Well, yeah, go to Disneyland.  Lay off.

But this is going to be a super-trip.  As in we’re renting a convertible here in Phoenix, and then driving to Las Vegas.  A few days at the beautiful Planet Hollywood Casino for the low rate of $60 a night. (Thanks, Priceline!)

After playing some high stakes bingo (well, by high stakes bingo, I mean regular bingo), seeing Wayne Brady at the Venetian, and, of course, what trip to Vegas is not complete without a visit to The Las Vegas Pinball Hall of Fame?

Then we’re driving to Los Angeles.  We picked up some tickets to see The Price is Right again.  Since this time, we actually know what we’re doing, we’ll get better seats, and maybe even picked to play.  Either way, it should be a good time.

Oh, and we’re doing a Segway tour of Disney’s California Adventure.

So you could say we’re booked up.  But all in all, it should be a good trip.

Between now and then, though, it’s work, work, work.  As in I 12 hour days for the last two weeks, and a few times, 18 hour days.

I need a vacation.

Long weekend, good times.

So this weekend was a whirlwind.

Saturday was doing some stuff around the house, then having dinner with the Phoenix gang at a teppenyaki restaurant.

Then Sunday was just hanging out at the house.  The wife was feeling a little better, so we got out of the house for a drive.  Ended up in beautiful downtown Coolidge, AZ.  Well, it’s not the most beautiful place in the world, but it was a fun drive.

Then swung up the I-10 and stopped off at the Casino for a little bingo action.  I almost feel like I should put the word action in quotes, as in bingo “action”.

Of course, being the tech guy I am, I used the computer to do bingo, and the new ones they have there even do the work for you.  It gets the called numbers wirelessly, so I could go get a drink or do something else while it marked my numbers.  Just wouldn’t call “Bingo!”, but what are you going to do?

So this ended up being a little much for the wife, so Monday we ended up just hanging out, mowing the lawn, and doing laundry. We’re total party animals, I tell ya.

At least this week is shorter, but the wife is going to be out of town on a “Scrapbooking retreat”, where they go up to the North and just scrapbook.  Sounds fishy to me, but I’m willing to believe her, I guess.

Yes, we’re playing bingo.
