So as I write this right now, I’m in the lobby of the dentist’s office, while the wife is getting some work done.
Her? Oh. She discovered a hole in one of her back teeth.
(Yeah, we hate the dentist’s office. Who doesn’t?) Luckily, they game her some ‘happy pills’ to take an hour before her appointment, and she’s feeling the love. Or lack of love. From the dentist.
What else is up? Well, a lot o’ stuff.
The wife, of course, being a teacher, has the week of October 8th off. Her birthday is October 6th.
So what do to?
Well, yeah, go to Disneyland. Lay off.
But this is going to be a super-trip. As in we’re renting a convertible here in Phoenix, and then driving to Las Vegas. A few days at the beautiful Planet Hollywood Casino for the low rate of $60 a night. (Thanks, Priceline!)
After playing some high stakes bingo (well, by high stakes bingo, I mean regular bingo), seeing Wayne Brady at the Venetian, and, of course, what trip to Vegas is not complete without a visit to The Las Vegas Pinball Hall of Fame?
Then we’re driving to Los Angeles. We picked up some tickets to see The Price is Right again. Since this time, we actually know what we’re doing, we’ll get better seats, and maybe even picked to play. Either way, it should be a good time.
Oh, and we’re doing a Segway tour of Disney’s California Adventure.
So you could say we’re booked up. But all in all, it should be a good trip.
Between now and then, though, it’s work, work, work. As in I 12 hour days for the last two weeks, and a few times, 18 hour days.
I need a vacation.
