Posted by Thomas on 05 Jun 2006 | Tagged as: Digg Links

Now, some of you know I’ve become somewhat of an ‘Apple Zealot’ lately. And this article shows why:

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer attempts to remove some spyware from a friend’s machine, and after 2 days, gives up. He then passed the PC over to a group of top Microsoft engineers and they failed as well.

I’ve had 3-4 family friends, and a few teachers at my wife’s work want me to remove spyware off their computer. All Windows XP.

The number of times I’ve had a call from the family members that have spyware with their Mac? zero. I think that really means something.

Been busy..

Posted by Thomas on 14 Apr 2006 | Tagged as: Digg Links

So, if you didn’t notice, I made a few changes to the site.

First, I updated the Gallery, so it’s looking a little different. No new pictures yet, but the software is better, so I can do more stuff now.

Second, yeah, I change the colors and formatting around a little. I’ll probably tweak it a little more, but at least it’s different.

Peace out.

Posted by Thomas on 08 Nov 2005 | Tagged as: Digg Links

As if Arizona couldn’t get hotter & drier, it’s going to happen. Maybe considered a ‘duh’, but when you think about the growth that AZ is seeing, it’s a little scary. Also talks about how in general, the rest of the US will see hotter temps, as well. At least it’s a dry heat, I guess.

Yes. Now you can play Risk using Google Maps. That’s the coolest. He’s working on a multi-player version next, but for right now you can play a hot-seat game with others.

Very cool use of existing tech.

FAA Flight Data + Little Creativity = Amazing Visualizations.

Posted by Thomas on 02 Nov 2005 | Tagged as: Digg Links

Okay.. This is pretty cool. By using the FAA’s Flight Data of flights throughout the US, and using Adobe After Effects and/or Maya, they created some very spiffy visuals. It’s amazing how many flights are in the air at any one time.
